How are the scores calculated and what does it mean?

It’s been a while since I heard a Johan Hoogewijs score, at least that’s what I thought. Turns out I am mixing him up with someone else. That makes it even more exciting. A new composer to discover. Piano is a beautiful instrument and that plays a major part of this score and it’s really great at times like in ‘Between The Crosses’ and ‘Dreaming In Bed’.

Despite a few great cues, particularly in the beginning I feel that it takes a turn for the worse. It can’t keep up with itself and cues are becoming repetitive and boring very fast. Not a good thing. After listening to 75% of the score I just wanted it to end so I could listen to something else. The last 25 minutes or so is not interesting at all and not even close to being fun.

HIGHLIGHTS:
1. Between The Crosses
4. Mortuary
5. Dreaming In Bed
7. Reunited
